Discover the Pearl of Africa
From misty mountain jungles to vast savannah plains, Uganda offers one of the most diverse safari experiences in Africa. Its people are warm, its landscapes are wild, and every moment brings something extraordinary. Come explore, photograph, and connect with Uganda’s untamed beauty
Your adventure begins in Kibale National Park, home to one of the largest populations of wild chimpanzees in Africa.
Join Bobby-Jo on this tracking experience and spend time observing and photographing these remarkable primates as they move through the forest canopy, play and connect. It’s a raw and unforgettable encounter with one of our closest relatives.

Your journey continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a landscape of open plains, volcanic craters and winding lakes. On game drives, you will search for elephants, antelope, buffalo and perhaps even lions or leopards. Each drive offers new moments to observe and photograph the park’s rich wildlife.
You will also enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles and an incredible variety of birdlife gather along the water’s edge. It is the perfect way to capture the rhythm and beauty of Uganda’s wild spaces.
The highlight of your safari is spending time with the mountain gorillas. This close encounter allows you to observe these gentle giants as they go about their daily lives, offering a rare and unforgettable experience.
You will see their personalities shine through as they interact, giving you a rare glimpse into their world.

To finish your journey, you’ll visit Mabamba Swamp to look for the Shoebill Stork. Seeing this rare and prehistoric-looking bird in its natural setting is a moment few ever forget.
In Uganda, you’ll be mesmerised by the breathtaking landscapes, the kind people, and the diverse wildlife that call this country home. So, grab your camera and join Bobby-Jo Safaris on this unforgettable journey through Uganda’s most iconic destinations.

Behind the Scenes
“Totally unexpected – massive mountains, forests and lakes. Prehistoric animals like the Shoebill. Not what you would expect from Africa. My most beautiful memory other than leaving a totally unique experience with the wild gorillas, we came across the Ankole cattle. Bobby-Jo with perception and ability to connect with people, had us mingling with these beautiful cattle and wandering amongst them. Just amazing to immerse yourself amongst this herd, listening to the soft clunking of their magnificent massive horns. These nomadic people offered us fresh milk and were so happy to share a glimpse into their life- so natural and spontaneous. Love Bobby-Jo’s tours, just a natural down to earth experience which gives exposure to the real.”

“Uganda is a triple threat when it comes to a wildlife destination, not only does it have the Great Apes but you can also photograph iconic African species such as Elephant, Giraffe, Lion, Leopard. The bird life is also phenomenal. Our finale for this safari is to spend time with the famous Shoebill Stork”
