Calving Season Safari

There is nothing quite like the Southern Serengeti at this time of year.
The plains stretch endlessly, filled with herds of wildebeest and zebra, and everywhere you look there is new life. Calves taking their first steps, predators moving through the grass, and that constant sense that something is about to unfold.

From late January through February, the southern plains become the centre of the migration as thousands of wildebeest gather to give birth.

With so much happening at once, there are incredible opportunities to observe behaviour and interaction out on the plains.

It is a time of movement, interaction and constant activity. The days are spent out in the field, following the herds, watching behaviour unfold and taking advantage of the incredible photographic opportunities that come with it.

No two days are the same, and that is what makes this safari so special.

This is not just about what you see, but how you experience it.

Throughout the safari, I will work with you in the field to help you improve your photography in a practical and relaxed way. We focus on reading behaviour, understanding light and positioning ourselves for the best opportunities as they unfold.

Whether you are new to photography or looking to refine your skills, the goal is to help you come away with images you are proud of and a deeper understanding of the wildlife around you.
