There is something truly special about Ladakh in winter. Snow covered mountains, ancient monasteries and vast Himalayan landscapes create the setting for an unforgettable wildlife adventure in search of snow leopards, Pallas cats and other Himalayan wildlife.
Wildlife of Ladakh is more than a snow leopard safari. It is a journey into one of the wildest and most breathtaking regions on Earth, where dramatic Himalayan landscapes, ancient monasteries and rare wildlife create an unforgettable adventure.
Alongside snow leopards, we will also search for species such as Pallas cats, Himalayan wolves, ibex, blue sheep and unique Himalayan birdlife while experiencing the culture and remote beauty that make Ladakh so special.
Our days are spent exploring vast valleys and mountain landscapes alongside experienced local trackers and guides, learning to read the terrain and embracing the unpredictability that comes with wildlife tracking in the Himalayas.
This safari is for adventurous travellers who want to experience the wild beauty, culture and wildlife of the Himalayas in a meaningful and authentic way. It is about immersion, exploration and experiencing one of the last truly wild places on Earth.
Each day in Ladakh is shaped by the mountains, the weather and the movement of wildlife. Some days are spent scanning distant ridge lines for snow leopards, while others lead us through remote valleys searching for Pallas cats, wolves and other Himalayan wildlife.
Patience is a huge part of the experience, and time in the field often rewards us with incredible landscapes, unique cultural encounters and unexpected wildlife moments.
Evenings are spent warming up with good food, sharing stories from the day and preparing for the next adventure into the Himalayas.
Whether we are exploring ancient monasteries, photographing dramatic mountain scenery or searching for elusive wildlife, every day in Ladakh feels like part of a true expedition.
